ParaGolfer - opening up new horizons in your life.
Now available from Mobility Works! Otto Bock Healthcare is a world-leading supplier of innovative products for people with restricted mobility. With high quality and cutting-edge products and services, Otto Bock helps people gain or regain their freedom to move. Though originally intended as an aid for disabled recreational golfers, the PARA-Golfer is now vastly improving quality of life in many situations, not just on the golf course. All-terrain special mobility device The Paragolfer is a singular all-terrain special mobility device that lifts people from a sitting position to a standing position. Aside from the many physical benefits of this feature, standing upright also offers the psychological benefit of communicating with others at eye level. The patent-pending standing device allows for extremely fast and easy adjustment of seat depth and lower leg length — a feature without which the highly flexible function would not be possible. A world of new possibilities By enabling an upright posture, the Paragolfer allows for unrestricted shoulder movement. This freedom is not only a huge benefit on the golf course, it also opens up new possibilities of movement during a range of other activities. The Paragolfer is yet another Otto Bock product that started as a dream and which is now making dreams come true. Design background The Paragolfer is a tribute to Otto Bock's wealth of practical expertise based on years of experience. The design for the Paragolfer was originally developed by golfers Anthony Netto and Christian Nachtwey. Otto Bock fine-tuned their original until it was ready for mass production. Christian Nachtwey is game manager of the Behindertenclub Deutschland (German Handicap Club), while Anthony Netto is trainer of the Deutsche Nationalmannschaft Behinderter Golfer (German National Team of Handicapped Golfers).
